Literary Analysis Summative Assessment and Writing Task - DAY 2

All students were given time to work on the assessment.
All day one sections should be complete.
Students should finish planning and organizing their thoughts and ideas for the essay.
Students were expected to work on the essay with a goal of writing 5 well-developed paragraphs (introduction, body paragraphs based on the main ideas, and a conclusion).

*Period 3 did not have class today due to the United Way photograph.

Literary Analysis Summative Assessment and Writing Task - DAY 1

All classes were given an overview of the expectations and directions for the two day assessment.
All students were given the remainder of the period to read and annotate the two texts.
All students were expected to answer the evidence based selected response questions.
*If time allows, students should begin planning and organizing their thoughts for the essay.

Students should complete all editing and revision from yesterday's class.

Students were asked to analyze their rough drafts and identify the strengths and weaknesses of their writing.
Students were asked to follow the directions and highlight different aspects of their work.
Students were expected to edit and revise their rough drafts based on what they needed to add, change, or delete.
Students will be working on their drafts in tomorrow's class.
